I'm not sure about this company I'm subcontracting with. It seems that the entire company is set up as an employment fraternity. They haze you for a while, and if you live through it, you're in the club and they always take care of you.
I've been trying now to get a full time employment position with them. After several claims that I would get such a position, none of them ever came out to anything. The most recent time, I was told that the higher ups didn't want to give me a full time position when the client only signed a 2 month contract. Fine, makes sense, I thought. What I didn't realize at the time is, they did offer a full time position to the other person on the team who is basically performing the same job function as I am. I found out recently that she used to be with the previous company founded by the same people who founded this company. The frat, it would seem, extends out to the previous alma mater.
